Trader's Perspective

Diving into the mind of a trader before, during, and after the entire tournament/competition/league season.

Team Tokens

In order to back your favorite teams, you'll need to purchase their 'stock', which in Robinos, will be called team tokens.

You'll be able to buy, sell, and trade those tokens at different points of time in the season!

Preseason

Traders can start purchasing team tokens for each team once the sales for the competition or the league start. There will not be any limit caps, so traders will be able to see which tokens have already been overbought or underbought based on the market cap for each team token.

All tokens will be priced at 1 USDC so as to allow easy reference for all traders.

During the season

Presale will end by now, which means, all trading activities can now begin!

For traders who already have bought their team tokens from the preseason sales, this will be a time to decide if a team's performance token should be hodl, bought, or released.

HODL

A trader might choose to hodl their team tokens for a few reasons.

  1. Their team token of a team is doing very well and will be profitable at the end of the season with the prize pool allocations per team token.

  2. The potential of a team performing during the season is high in the trader's opinion, yet unknown to many. Which might lead to a price increase of the team token in the near future when the expected scenario plays out.

Buy time!

Similar to why a trader might hodl, and start buying.

  1. A trader might start buying team tokens of some teams who're performing well and expected to end the season in the placing which will be rewarded with USDC. (Top 7 of EPL for example)

  2. The potential of a team performing later in the season is high in the trader's opinion, yet unknown to many. Which might lead to a price increase of the team token in the near future when the expected scenario plays out.

Release/Dump

And of course, there will be as many reasons to dump.

  1. Cutting losses/Panic sell - traders might start selling their team tokens when their team is on an irreversible downturn of performance which might affect the final standings at the end of the season, and thus, through selling, to try and get their initial capital back as much as possible.

  2. Profit-taking - traders can choose to take profit early. In every long and arduous season, there will be one or few teams that are having very strong performances against the expectation of most traders. Prices of such teams will rise, and some traders holding such tokens might choose to sell at an early profit.
